Product Description
Powers PURE-2K is a 100% epoxy mortar which gives you high strength for a low cost. It has undergone stringent safety testing by Powers and is currently undergoing ETA approval, giving you the safety and quality you need to get the job done.
PURE-2K is suitable for extreme loads even with low embedment depths, making it an incredibly versatile mortar. It can be used in diamond drilled holes and hammer drilled holes, and is suitable for fixing rebar, threaded rods, machinery, staircases, high racks, reinforcement bars and much more. The high strength makes it suitable for dynamic loads, and can be used in large drill diameter holes.
The pure epoxy does not shrink after curing unlike some other mortar types, and its gel composition locks onto the base material and fixing. This minimises air bubbles which would otherwise compromise the strength of your fix. Powers epoxy mortars are also vibration resistant, so can be used anywhere from earthquake regions to factory floors with heavy machinery. Powers epoxy mortars are styrene free and are odourless: this allows you to work with them in unventilated areas and eliminates any health and safety worries. The epoxy mortar can be applied in water filled holes, so rain won't slow down your work, and PURE-2K can also be used for overhead applications. Powers mortars are an expansion-free fixing, so can be used close to the edge of the base material. As ever from Powers, the PURE-2K mortar has been designed as ergonomically as possible. The solid cartridge means there is no leaking, and the nozzle design allows for easy pumping. The engineered plastic helps extend shelf life up to 18 months, minimising wastage. PURE-2 consists of two chambers, one resin and one hardener, in a 1:1 ratio. They are not mixed until pushed through the static mixer so will never harden in the cartridge, and the 1:1 ratio means that Powers PURE-2K will fit the Edilon caulking gun.
Powers PURE-2K is an ideal alternative to the Hilti RE-500, Spit Epcon and Edilon DEX R2-K. Stronger and cheaper, what's keeping you from swapping?
A note on PURE-2K vs. PURE150-PRO. PURE-2K is cheaper weight-for-weight than PURE150-PRO, but has lower recommended load capacities, and does not yet have an ETA approval. If ETA or fire approval ratings are not necessary, then using PURE-2K will provide a saving on your job. If your job requires a higher load than is recommended for PURE-2K, or ETA and fire approval ratings are required, then PURE150-PRO is the mortar for you.
Each cartridge comes with one mixing nozzle and one nozzle extension.
