Product Description
The PHL (Powers® High Loads) anchor is our strongest anchor yet. Made from Class 8.8 carbon steel, this is the anchor you turn to when the rest just can’t cut it.
We know that on any job, strength and speed are the key features you are looking for in your fixings. There are also times when safety is of the highest concern; when you are dealing with high loads in a dynamic environment. The PHL has been specially designed with those in mind; a highly engineered expansion anchor provides incredible strength in both tension and shear. It can be used in all concrete types, and as an added guarantee of safety is currently undergoing ETA-1 approval for uncracked concrete. This gives you the strength and assurance you need to get your job done.
Installation is incredibly fast, as you simply need to drill, insert and tighten with a wrench. Loading is immediate, so, unlike with chemical anchors which have a gelling and setting time, these will immediately take the strain. This means you don’t have to wait around for a mortar to set before you can install the load, and the fast installation time gets your job finished faster.
The PHL has a wide range of applications, but due to its extreme load bearing abilities it is especially well suited to structural connections such as column bases, beam supports, bracing (e.g. for tilt-up concrete panels), scaffolding, heavy machinery etc. They can be used anywhere a throughbolt can, giving you fantastic diversity. However, they really come into their own when used in dynamic environments, with unique design features such as a highly engineered, high strength sleeve, a heavy duty tempered washer and a nylon compression ring to provide positive grip.
When you need safety and strength, look to the PHL. Add it to your basket today and discover the benefits for yourself.
