Product Description
When the going gets tough, you need a tough anchor to do the job. The Shield Anchor is an expansion-type anchor especially designed for working with soft, ancient and insecure base materials, giving you controlled strength to maintain the quality of your work.
The Shield Anchor system consists of the anchor with either a loose bolt (SAL) or projecting bolt (SAP). The anchor itself is also available to buy individually without a bolt (SA). Once the anchor has been inserted into a pre-drilled hole, the installation of the bolt creates a controlled and powerful expansion across the entire surface of the anchor. This gives you huge strength by maximising the anchor’s contact area, and the consistent pressure from every direction safely controls the loading, reducing the likelihood of cracking or damaging the base material. Whilst the Shield Anchor can be used anywhere a Sleeve Anchor would be used, this controlled strength makes it particularly suitable for working with difficult base materials. You get fantastic performance even in soft bases, ensuring the high quality of your work. A high quality finish saves you time and money: each fix is perfect, meaning you only need to do it once, and the controlled force reduces the risk of damage to the material, eliminating the need to spend extra repairing any damage. It can be used for any through fixing, from fixing lattice work to installing steel rails, and is available in a wide range of lengths and sizes, so no matter the job, you have the right tools for it.
