Overhead suspension is a tricky thing, and there are times when standard drop-in anchors just can’t cut it. This can be an issue when you need a fixing with a low embedment depth into concrete, but with guaranteed strength. This is where the Snake comes in.
The Snake is a patented, internally threaded, self tapping drop-in anchor. Unlike with standard drop-ins which are expansion anchors, the Snake cuts its own groove into the base material. As a result, the anchor becomes a part of the base material. This is why it is the only drop-in anchor with ETA-1 approval for installation into cracked concrete, giving you the best quality assurance possible. It can be used wherever you would normally use a drop-in anchor, giving you fantastic diversity: suspending conduit, fire sprinklers, cable trays, pipe supports, formwork, suspended lighting and many more. A shallow embedment depth (40mm) gives you great strength with the flexibility to work with hollow core floors. The internal threading allows for easy removability (such as for servicing) without having to remove the Snake as well, saving you time and money. However, the Snake is also fully removable and can be reused*, making it an economic choice, even with temporary applications. The Snake is quick and easy to install, and each box comes complete with a Snake SDS drill bit and a Snake setting tool, to get your job finished as fast as possible.
