The Contact Top is a clever little device for those looking to maintain a higher quality finish when using their W3 woodnailer. The W3's nosepiece has five teeth on it. These allow it to grip into the wood to provide a safe and accurate shot. These teeth can leave marks in the wood, and if these marks are undesirable for aesthetic reasons then the Contact Top is the ideal solution.
Unlike the IM350's equivalent of the Contact Top, the Powers Contact Top does not require the tool to be disassembled in order to fit it. The Contact Top simply slides over the head of the nosepiece and sits snug, providing a smooth, non-marring contact surface.
